BNAL, Baltic Network Adult Learning

The Baltic Network for Adult Learning (BNAL) is a network of organisations involved in adult learning and non formal liberal and voluntary education in the Baltic Sea region.

The BNAL network's overall aim is to be a platform for exchange of experiences and development of common educational programmes. It should be the natural meeting point for all organisations and as well as individuals with interest and knowledge about adult learning in the Baltic Sea region. An important objective is to support the development of adult learning in the three Baltic countries, Russia and in Poland

The constitutional meeting was held in Riga in December 2006, and the network includes a number of organisations from Russia, Poland, Germany, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Denmark, Sweden and the autonomous Åland Islands. Interfolk became a member in august 2008.

Portrait by V. G. Perov, 1872

And he felt further that a peculiarly deeply felt sentiment awoke in him, which he had hitherto never known, he wanted to act against everyone, so that from now on, no one would have to cry.

Karamazov, 1880
