The activities of Interfolk may include research, surveys and development projects, courses, seminars and debate activities, and other cultural activities, - in a Danish, Nordic, European and a broader international context.
Primary the activities include project development in collaborative networks with associations and institutions from the context of liberal education and the voluntary associations. The reason for this is that multi-focus partnerships – i.e. partnerships sharing the same conceptual basis and aims and collaborating about projects organised in flexible network structures – pave the way for new ideas, new forms of activities, a broader interface and more funding options.
The priorities for our work in 2008 - 2009 are
· to participate in develop activities between the non-formal adult education and the NGO-associations in a Nordic-Baltic context, especially in cooperation with the Nordic-Baltic NGO umbrella organization, Danfø
· to promote the livelong learning perspective in the area of culture and leisure-time activities, especially in cooperation with the umbrella association Joint Culturel Coincils in Denmark.
· to promote livelong learning activities in the civil society with a democratic and humanistic perspective, especially in cooperation with Danish and Nordic Folk high Schools.
· to initiate activities regarding European identity in a context of active citizenship in the civil society, especially in cooperation with European associations of voluntary artbased activities.
